Ic3peak is one of the most interesting young Russian groups working in the “new electronic music” genre. The guys came out of the real underground, their first concerts were held on semi-legal raves in the times of the popularity of such genres as witch-house and nu-rave. Today, the duet of Nastya Kreslina and Nikolai Kostylev plays industrial pop, overloaded with digital noises, sometimes turning into real audio terror. This is noisy music for dancing, leading away to total infinity, at the same time with well-defined melody and interesting topics of lyrics. Surreal images from the last album “Fairy Tale” are striking in their grotesque originality - the creative use of elements of Russian-folk culture in the context of a completely modern electronic project never slips into Russian kitsch. In addition, Ic3peak officially calls themselves an “audiovisual project”: all performances of the group are accompanied by obligatory video art, often very provocative, forcing not only to watch and listen, but also to think.
