VLNY is one of the brightest Russian-speaking independent groups on the domestic scene. Samara team led by frontman Dmitry Artemyev performs modern pop music with finely crafted electronic sound and talented Russian-language lyrics. Sensual music and soulful lyrics of the group instantly conquer the hearts of the listeners, and the songs quickly fly through the network. Over the four years of its existence, VLNY gained an impressive audience of loyal fans for Russian indie music, which allows the band to successfully tour in Russia and the CIS countries. “Афиша” described the sound of the band in such a way: “At their best moments, VLNY resembles graceful British from Wild Beasts or their more dynamic colleagues from Foals”.
