OQJAV is a Russian indie pop band from Moscow, formed in 2012, when the soloist of the group" Oba Dva " Katya Pavlova and her friend Vadik Korolev decided to unite and create their own creative project. Later, they were joined by Daniil Shaikhinurov (aka Daniel Shake, familiar to many from the group "We"). At that time, the group was called "Okudzhav". The band's debut album was highly praised by listeners and music critics. For the first release, the band was awarded the Artemiy Troitsky "Steppenwolf" Award in the "Debut" category, received the " Golden Gargoyle "for" Best Independent Project "and was nominated for the Jagermeister Indie Awards as "Band of the Year". Today, OQJAV plays melancholic art-pop with electronic beats and piano. Last year, the band released their fourth album, "Kromeshna". They worked on the record during the quarantine – the band had to split up and each musician recorded their parts alone, without meeting each other in person. Last year, at the Kinotavr festival, the group won the prize named after him. M. Tariverdieva for the best music for the film "The Man from Podolsk", in which the main role was played by the frontman of the band Vadik Korolev.
