Dasha and Seryozha
The duo of indie singer Dasha Shultz and Sergey Khavro, the leader of the band Parks, Squares and Alleys, is an amazing phenomenon on the modern stage. Unlike their colleagues, the guys do not focus on modern genres such as hip-hop, but draw inspiration from the romance of the 80s, the groups Cocteau Twins, New Order and The Smiths, where the mood and atmosphere are more important than any virtuosity. The duo performs touching and slightly shy songs filled with light melancholy, romanticism and special sensuality. For Dasha and Seryozha, this project is a definite change in the direction of creativity: previously, Sergey basically performed songs only in English, and Dasha Schultz, having achieved success in the early 10s in the image of a" girl with a ukulele " by the early 20s, completely moved away from music. Such a return of both artists can not but rejoice. Last year, they recorded their debut single and follow-up album, "Magic", which was highly acclaimed by music critics. In addition to the obvious influence of English indie pop on the recordings, Dasha and Seryozha were inspired by the work of the Soviet composer Alexey Rybnikov and the film "You Never Dreamed", whose romantic and naive mood is very much to the liking of the musicians.
