“Кис-кис” is a duet of two crazy girls who burst onto the modern stage less than a year ago and have already established themselves as one of the most successful groups of the new Russian wave. The girls play a lively punk, soaked with simply manic reluctance to grow up: carefree youthful maximalism rules here - and it seems that this is a damn successful formula that young listeners need. Freakish guitar riffs, driving drum parts and desperate girlish voices set the character of their catchy songs as if flirting with their listeners. Sometimes serious, and sometimes humorous lines entice into their networks reckless of the detachment and endless madness… The indisputable charisma of this shameless duet will probably force teenagers to fill in excerpts of phrases from the Кис-кис’s texts in the form of tattoos on their bodies very soon. Кис-кис took the best from garage rock, pop-punk, punk rock and indie rock, creating something that can sit in the cerebellum for the coming weeks. A brave young duet has all the chances to “fly up”, because it appeared very on time - at a time when we so much want freedom.
