The music of the American experimental group SON LUX is a unique sound canvas, where the performance of each song is like an art performance. American composer Ryan Lot founded the band in 2008 releasing their debut album “At War With Walls And Mazes” under the influence of electronics and post-rock. This album received high marks from critics: the prestigious American radio station NPR called SON LUX the best new performer. Now SON LUX already has 6 albums, the band is extremely fruitful and creative: in 2014 they recorded a joint track with singer Lorde, the single “Lost It To Trying" became one of the best tracks of the year according to the Pitchfork portal and the music was played in the movie “The Disappearing Eleanor Rigby”. SON LUX live shows amaze with unimaginable energy: the drummer and guitarist, along with the vocalist, form a single entity on the stage - the pulsating rhythms and mood swings of their music enchant. At our festival, in addition to hits, the band will play songs from its new album “Brighter Wounds”, which was released in 2018 and received high marks from the Western press for the drama and intimacy of the lyrics.
