“Интурист” is an interesting new project from Evgeny Gorbunov, a bright Moscow guitar player, known for his participation in the rave-punk project of the 2000s NRKTK in the United States and the band Glintshake that received recognition in Europe. What Gorbunov plays under the guise of Intourist is directly associated with the poetry of OBERIUts - the nervous guitar sound brought to an absurdity is similar in its alogism to the works of the last bright representatives of the avant-garde of the Silver Age: Harms, Vvedensky and Zabolotsky. Sophisticated music lovers in Интурист will hear direct references to the “no-wave” movement in the spirit of the New York underground groups of the late 70s, as well as similarities with some works of the Estonian group “Not Waited” in the late 80s. Yevgeny Gorbunov relies on the atonal sound of the electric guitar and the unpredictable rhythm section, which, together with the electronic effects, cause an atmosphere of general dissonance and, and, in a good way, strange restlessness. On the Интурист stage - this is Eugene with the support of live drums and bass - together they fascinate the listener with their piercing performance. Recently, Интурист played several successful European concerts in Berlin, Hamburg, Riga and Tallinn, and also took part in international festivals SKIFF and Moscow Music Week.
